Brittany DeVille Never Gave Up Her Dream

Excerpt from Dallas Voyage Magazine October 12, 2020

Beauty and fashion have always been a great love of mine! Finding the perfect outfit, or a killer pair of shoes, is like a whole moment for me! I remember wearing false lashes and hair extensions before they were even a thing. I knew I wanted to be in the beauty industry at a young age. I grew up pretty poor and with a single Mom most of my life. I had Step-Dad'(s) throughout my life, and there was one in particular who I believe showed me a glimpse of what my life could be, and made me feel like I could be anybody. He actually just passed away, so there is a tear forming as I write this. Sadly, at the age of 13 he and my mother divorced and my life fell apart. From that age on I did a lot of house/couch surfing, and honestly felt very unwanted and not very valuable. So many dreams that I had immediately disappeared.

Those are whole stories in themselves, so fast forward a bit, after years of lots of heartbreak and searching for a career; I ended up getting married, having a daughter, and becoming a stay at home Mom/Wife. I loved that job, but I would literally watch YouTube makeup tutorials everyday, and dream of my future beauty career. That’s when I stumbled upon microblading, and I was blown away! Eyebrows were always my favorite facial feature, and mine were in the process of recovering from the ’90s over plucked era. Anyways, I finally worked up enough courage and worth to ask my then Husband if I could attend beauty school, or get certified in Microblading, and of course, it was shot down. But that is not where this story ends, it’s kind of where it begins.

I’m 100% sure The Lord uses our failures and mistakes, our inability to see our worth and value, and He turns it around. Sadly my marriage ended, but due to a smart investment I made in my 20’s, I was able to take that money and get my certification for Microblading, buy all the supplies I needed, and start my beauty career! I’m a master artist now, I’ve done thousands of brow sessions, I’m in an amazing location, and I LOVE making Women feel beautiful. I’m truly thankful for the journey in finding my identity, and value, and whom it comes from. I’m walking out my dreams that will continue to manifest and grow into an even more beautiful story! So stay tuned!

I’m a Permanent Makeup Artist, and I specialize in eyebrows. I do microblading, machine powdering, eyeliner and lip blushing. Basically, anything on the face! I’m definitely proud of my past experience and the amount of hands-on skin time I’ve had. Each client is different, and each person is a whole new canvas. I always cater my work to your brow structure, skin, and look. I don’t have a “signature look’ that fits everyone. I do what works best for you, but still looks as natural as possible. I think that is what sets me apart is my ability to see such detail and match each individual in a unique way. I’m also very thorough, and my goal is for my clients to feel like they are getting a 5-star treatment!

Success starts in the mindset and seeing yourself beyond where you actually are. My trust is in someone who performs far beyond my own abilities, and in Him, I am successful as I continue to move forward, and not backward.
